What we collect
- Enquiries and quote requests: name, company, email, phone, country and the technical details you enter in our forms, or send by email or WhatsApp.
- Datasheet PDFs: the customer, project and quantity you type are used only in your browser to print on the PDF; they are not sent to us.
- Website use: if analytics are enabled, we use privacy-friendly analytics that count page views without cookies and without identifying you.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, prepare quotations, supply and support products you buy, and keep records required by law. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for unrelated advertising.
Legal basis
For visitors in the European Union, the United Kingdom and similar jurisdictions, we process enquiry data to take steps you request before entering into a contract, and for our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (GDPR / UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). In India we process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, for the purpose you provided it.
Who receives it
Our sales, engineering and accounts staff, and service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our email and customer-relationship systems. We share data with logistics providers and authorities only where needed to deliver an order or meet a legal obligation.
Transfers outside your country
EMPD is based in India. When you contact us from another country, your details are transferred to and processed in India so that we can answer your request (GDPR Article 49(1)(b) where applicable).
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to business are deleted after 3 years. Customer and order records are kept as long as required by Indian tax and company law.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, or to withdraw consent, by writing to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children.
